A Story of Success
Founded in 1962 by master saddler Ernst Lüthy in the small town of Klingnau, Switzerland, what began as a family business specialized in custom-made leather furniture soon transformed into de Sede AG in 1965.
Collaborating with top international designers led to unique design creations that became cult models. Today, de Sede stands as one of the leading brand manufacturers of exclusive designer leather furniture, with 110 employees producing over 11,500 pieces of furniture annually for distribution in more than 69 countries.
The acquisition of FSM Franz Sitzmöbel GmbH in 2000 meant that FSM furniture would also be produced in de Sede's facilities, expanding their range and influence in the market.
