The payment method on a regular order is locked in once you place the order — because your card is charged immediately at checkout to confirm the purchase. If your order has already been placed, you cannot switch the payment method from the order page.
If you need to use a different card, the simplest path is to cancel the order from your Purchases page (you'll be refunded automatically) and place a new order with the card you want to use.
For offers, your card is only charged if the seller accepts. While the offer is still pending, you can change the payment method from your offer page:
1. Go to Purchases and open the offer.
2. In the Payment Info section, click "Change payment method."
3. Pick a saved card or add a new one and save.
Note: offers can only be paid with a credit/debit card (or Apple/Google Pay). PayPal, Venmo and Buy Now / Pay Later are not supported on offers.
For regular orders this almost never happens — your card is validated and charged at checkout. If the charge does fail asynchronously (for example with Buy Now / Pay Later) we email you with next steps and a link to retry.
For offers, if the seller's auto-accept setting matches your offer but your card declines at that moment, the offer is automatically rejected. Update your saved card and resubmit the offer.
You can manage saved cards from the payment method window during checkout. Add new ones for future purchases or remove ones you no longer use.
