Sending an offer — negotiating a price
Sending an offer and negotiating a price is easy. For sellers that allow offers, click the "Make Offer" button on the product page and propose a price you're willing to pay.
Offer rules
- Minimum offer: All offers must be at least 80% of the listing price (max 20% discount). Sellers can require a higher floor for their items but never lower than 80%.
- Payment method: Offers can only be paid with a credit or debit card (including Apple Pay and Google Pay). PayPal, Venmo and Buy Now / Pay Later are not available on offers.
- Time to respond: The seller has 48 hours to accept, decline or send a counter offer. After 48 hours, the offer expires.
- When you're charged: Your card is charged only if the seller accepts your offer (or if you accept their counter offer). If the seller declines or counters, no payment is taken.
- If your card declines: If the seller's auto-accept setting matches your offer but your card declines at that moment, the offer is automatically rejected. Make sure your saved card is valid before sending an offer.
You can cancel your offer at any time before it is accepted or declined by the seller.
